Crushed stone is exactly what you would expect, stone that has been crushed. The process starts with large rocks that are fed through a rock crusher and then screened to sift out certain size stones. Sizes range from large riprap all the way down to fines or dust. The most common crushed stone is produced from limestone, which is off white to gray in color, but can be brown to shades of red.

Crusher Run

Crusher Run is one of the most requested materials we deliver, known for its excellent compaction properties. It contains dust and fines from the crushing process, which helps it compact tightly, making it an ideal choice for creating a solid, stable base. Crusher Run is commonly used for driveway gravel, road base, structure foundations, concrete bases, patio bases, and other projects requiring a durable foundation. The most commonly requested size is 1 1/2″, but it is also available in sizes ranging from 1″ to 3 1/2″ to suit various construction needs.

Washed Stone

Washed Stone is crushed, screened to size, and thoroughly washed to remove most dust and fines, ensuring a cleaner, more uniform material. It is commonly used in drainage applications, such as basement backfill, septic lateral fields, and French drains, where good water flow and filtration are essential. Washed Stone is also utilized as concrete aggregate, adding strength and durability to concrete mixes, and as decorative stone for landscaping. Available in a variety of sizes, ranging from 3/8 inch to 2 1/2 inches, Washed Stone is a versatile material suitable for both practical and aesthetic uses.

Clean Stone

We provide high-quality clean stone that is carefully washed and screened to remove dust, clay, and fine particles—ensuring a consistent, durable material ideal for a wide range of applications. Clean stone is commonly used in drainage systems, septic fields, and erosion control because it promotes excellent water flow while maintaining soil stability. It’s also an essential component for backfilling retaining walls, creating solid foundations for construction projects, and building reliable driveways and walkways. Thanks to its uniform size and clean composition, clean stone is easy to work with and provides lasting performance in both residential and commercial environments. Whether you need small loads for landscaping or bulk deliveries for large construction jobs, we supply and deliver clean stone directly to your site—on time and ready to use.

Surge Stone

Surge Stone, also known as shot rock, is a type of crushed stone commonly used for various construction and landscaping purposes. It is primarily utilized for erosion control, as it helps stabilize soil and prevent washing away in areas prone to erosion. Surge Stone is also effective as a base material in wet, soggy areas, providing a solid foundation where other materials may sink or shift. Additionally, it is often used as a temporary base to provide access to construction sites, especially in areas with soft or unstable ground. Available in sizes ranging from 3 to 6 inches, Surge Stone offers versatility and durability for a variety of applications.

Pea Gravel

Pea gravel is small, smooth stones commonly used in landscaping for various purposes. It works well as mulch in gardens, protecting soil, retaining moisture, and preventing erosion, while adding color and texture. When placed around trees and shrubs, it helps with drainage, reduces weeds, and keeps soil in place. Pea gravel is also a great option for driveways and paths, providing an attractive, durable surface with excellent drainage. Additionally, it creates a safe, soft surface for playgrounds. Unlike organic mulch, pea gravel doesn’t decay, making it a long-lasting, low maintenance, and cost effective choice for many outdoor spaces.

Riprap

Riprap is large, crushed stone used primarily for erosion control in areas exposed to rising or flowing water. It is commonly applied around bodies of water, drainage channels, and other regions vulnerable to soil erosion caused by water movement. The large stones help stabilize the ground, preventing erosion and protecting the landscape. Riprap is available in a range of sizes, from 12 to 36 inches, allowing for flexibility in addressing different erosion control needs. Its durability and effectiveness make it a reliable choice for safeguarding waterfronts and water management systems.
